MotoTrial NI

Hello and welcome to the Hurst Cup trial page.

The Hurst Cup event was first held in 1931 through to 1994 from European to World Championship status. Over this period, the trial was mainly held in and around the Leadmines and Clandeboye estate area.

In 1975 the European Trials Championship crossed over to be titled the World Trials Championship and the Hurst Cup event held in February 1975 was the first ever World Trial Championship event EVER!

The series continues today as Trial GP.

We are wishing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this great event at the same location with many of the same sections used in 1975 and we look forward to celebrating with riders from all over the world at what we call the home of trials.

The trial will be held with three lines of severity to choose from -

Sportsman - Easy

Clubman - medium

Expert - Hard

Eligible machinery-

Pre 65

Twin shock

Air Cooled Mono

Water Cooled bikes up to 1995

The Knock Motorcycle Club who originally organised the event have kindly given us permission to use the actual Hurst Cup with all the previous World Championship winners names still on it!
